This immersive exhibition, created with the help of Egyptologists, invites visitors to rediscover the Egypt of the pharaohs, through the masterpieces of this mythical civilisation and 3D reconstructions produced by Ubisoft. As a prologue to the exhibition, the grains of sand lifted by the wind reveal the remains of ancient Egypt, which the painter David Roberts drew, noting in his notebook ‘We are a people of dwarfs visiting a nation of giants’.
Visitors first discover the genesis of the Egyptian world: the sacred forces of the gods are revealed on the walls, right up to the appearance of the first humans on earth. The journey continues along the Nile, the cradle of luxuriant nature, and then to the heart of daily life. The pyramids, a prodigy of ancient architecture, are being built before visitors’ very eyes: one by one, the blocks are piled up to build the tombs of the eternal kings, guarded by the majestic Sphinx.
In forty minutes, the exhibition takes visitors on a journey to the heart of a civilisation that continues to fascinate.
